Project
Nodalis Conseil has been recruited by the World Bank/GPOBA (Global Partnership on Output Based Aid) to perform a study on the use of Output Based Aid (OBA) in urban transport in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
OBA is a form of results-based financing aimed at increasing the access of the poor to infrastructure and social services through the use of performance-based incentives and subsidies (see our focus on “OBA structure for the extension of water and sanitation services in disadvantaged districts of three pilot cities” in Morocco").
To carry out this mission, our consultants have selected three pilot cities with a high potential for the development of OBA projects in the urban transport sector: Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan; Dakar in Senegal; and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
