Nodalis supports donors in the appraisal process of their climate co-benefit projects, but also in more cross-cutting issues related to the development of low-carbon strategies or the operationalization of climate finance.
Nodalis relies on its sectoral expertise to support governments at all stages of their transition to a low-carbon economy adapted to climate change. Our experts regularly contribute to the development of sectoral strategies consistent with their international climate commitments. They also contribute their sectoral expertise to the identification, development and evaluation of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
Nodalis has contributed to the design and implementation of several financing instruments dedicated to a low-carbon transition in Sub-Saharan Africa (green credit lines, a fund dedicated to the financing of energy infrastructure, a public payment guarantee program for renewable energy projects, a facility dedicated to the financing of forest protection projects in Africa, etc.) Nodalis has also provided several direct support to the Green Climate Fund, notably to assess the financial conditions applied to the projects it finances.
We have a wealth of experience in setting up projects with climate co-benefits as well as a good knowledge of the priorities and subsidy instruments of donors specialized in this field, which are often a key element in making projects viable.
